Meetings are held every Monday at the PMYCS Center.
Youth Alliance (Middle School Youth): 5:00-6:00pm
Youth Council (High School Youth): 6:30-8:00pm
These programs are designed to combat the issues and lack of support that young people face academically, socially and psychologically by offering the opportunity for young people to explore their interests and have a voice, while making a difference and building long lasting and sustainable relationships.
These programs provide a community service component enabling participants to conduct service work to help people, animals and the environment. Past and current projects include:
Great Clean Up of Brookhaven Town
Youth have the opportunity to pick and clean a site and participate in helping beautify the Town of Brookhaven.
McPeak’s Nursing Home
Youth have the opportunity to spend time with residents and make craft projects.
Fashion Show Fundraiser
Youth have the opportunity to sell raffle tickets and participate as models.
Adopt-A-Highway
Located on Patchogue-Holbrook Road from 1st Street to Division Street. Youth have the opportunity to participate in monthly site clean ups.
Relay 4 Life
Youth have the opportunity to participate in various fundraising activities. All proceeds go to the American Cancer Society.
Alive After 5
Sponsored by the Patchogue Chamber of Commerce, youth have the opportunity to participate in crafts and volunteer at PMYCS’ information booth.
